
The Global Health Workforce Alliance is a partnership dedicated to identifying and implementing solutions to the health workforce crisis. It brings together a variety of actors, including national governments, civil society, finance institutions, workers, international agencies, academic institutions and professional associations. The Alliance is hosted and administered by the World Health Organization.
Nigel Crisp co-chaired the GHWA Task Force on Scaling up the education and training of health workers with Commissioner Bience Gawanas, African Union Commissioner for Social Affairs in 2007 and 2008.
